I never really had an interest in her, but whenever we'd see each other, my heart would skip a beat. She never stopped talking to me. It was as if she accepted me regardless of the hidden character in me. We've been at it for months now, but I'm not sure how this will all end. Of all the tools and possible methods I use in making a drawing, "Dodge and Burn" has got to be one of my most under used yet effective techniques in Photoshop (just next to Clone Stamp). A few weeks back, I got to read

's "Lackadaisy" comics together with her guides. I read how she was able to edit her drawings and backgrounds in Photoshop using mostly Dodge and Burn, so I tried doing that technique for this pic instead of my regular colored palette. It was quite a challenge for me since it made me understand the important of volume in my composition (that, and took me ages to get one character finished). Nevertheless, I'm proud of the end result. To all of those who still haven't read her comics or checked her art, drop by her page!
